Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of services by Globoweb (“Globoweb”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) to the client (“Client”, “you”, or “your”). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Services Provided
We provide the following services:
- Website Design
- Ecommerce Website Development
- Copywriting
- SEO Optimisation
- Web Security
- Ongoing Help & Support
All services will be defined in a written agreement or proposal prior to commencement.
3. General Terms
The Client agrees to provide all necessary information, materials, and approvals in a timely manner.
Project timelines are estimates and may vary depending on Client responsiveness and third-party services.
We reserve the right to decline or terminate services at our discretion.
4. Website Design & Development
A detailed scope of work will be agreed before work begins.
The Client will be entitled to a defined number of revisions as outlined in the project agreement. Additional revisions will be chargeable.
Final approval must be provided before website launch. Any work requested after approval or launch will be treated as additional billable work.
5. Ecommerce Websites
The Client is responsible for providing accurate product details, pricing, tax settings, and policies. We are not responsible for third-party systems such as payment gateways or platform outages.
6. Copywriting
Copywriting is based on information provided by the Client. The Client must review and approve all content before publication.
7. SEO Optimisation
SEO setup services are provided as part of our offerings. SEO content creation is available as an optional additional service to further improve website visibility. While SEO services aim to enhance performance and search visibility, we do not guarantee rankings, traffic levels, or specific results, as outcomes depend on external factors beyond our control.
8. Web Security
While reasonable security measures are implemented, we cannot guarantee complete protection from cyber threats.
9. Domains + Hosting
Website hosting and domain registration are not included within this agreement and remain the sole responsibility of the Client.
The Client must purchase and maintain their own hosting and domain services from a third-party provider.
Globoweb will provide reasonable guidance and step-by-step instructions to assist the Client in selecting, purchasing, and setting up suitable hosting and domain services. However, Globoweb is not responsible for the performance, security, renewal, or management of any third-party hosting or domain provider.
All costs associated with hosting and domain services are to be covered directly by the Client.
10. Payments
10.1 Full Payment Requirement
Full payment is required upfront before any work commences. No work, planning, or scheduling will begin until payment has been received and cleared.
10.2 Pricing & Quotations
All prices are provided in writing via quotation or invoice. Quotes are valid for a limited time (typically 14–30 days).
Any changes to the agreed scope of work may result in additional charges.
10.3 Additional Work
Any work outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately. Additional work will not begin until approved and paid for in full.
10.4 Ongoing Services
Services such as hosting, maintenance, SEO, and web care plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Failure to make payment may result in suspension or termination of services without notice.
10.5 Late or Missed Payments
If payment is not received for ongoing services, we reserve the right to suspend access to hosting, websites, or related services. Reactivation of services may be subject to additional fees.
10.6 Payment Methods
Payments must be made using the methods specified on the invoice (e.g., bank transfer, card payment).
Any transaction or processing fees are the responsibility of the Client.
11. Web Care Plans
Web care plans are optional and include ongoing updates, backups, and support. These are billed monthly or annually in advance. Cancellation requires written notice (typically 30 days unless otherwise agreed).
12. Website Content
The Client is responsible for providing all necessary content unless copywriting services are included. The Client confirms they have the legal right to use all materials supplied.
13. Refund Policy
Due to the nature of custom digital services, all payments are non-refundable once work has commenced. No refunds will be issued for website design services after work has begun. If a project is cancelled before work has started, a refund may be considered at our discretion.
Subscription services (hosting, maintenance, SEO) are non-refundable once the billing period has started.
14. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, data, or for downtime caused by third-party services.
The Client is solely responsible for ensuring that their website complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to data protection, privacy (e.g., GDPR), accessibility, and ecommerce laws. While we may install or recommend plugins, tools, or features intended to assist with compliance (such as cookie consent banners or privacy tools), we do not guarantee that these will ensure full legal compliance.
15. Project Timescales
Project timescales will be discussed and agreed upon before work begins. All timelines provided are estimates and may vary depending on the scope of the project and Client responsiveness. Delays in providing content, feedback, or approvals may result in project delays, for which we are not responsible.
We aim to complete projects within the agreed timeframe but do not guarantee completion dates due to factors beyond our control, including third-party services or unforeseen technical issues.
16. Termination
Either party may terminate services with written notice. Any outstanding payments must be settled before termination is finalised.
17. Amendments
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
